How to report domestic abuse
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.
If it is not an emergency, call Merseyside Police on 101.
You can also:
- report a crime online to Merseyside Police
- report domestic abuse anonymously to Crimestoppers online
- call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
- contact the Wirral Family Safety Unit for advice and support
You do not have to deal with domestic abuse alone. Tell someone you trust, such as:
- a friend
- a family member
- a work colleague
- a support service

During a domestic abuse incident
If it is safe to do so:
- call 999
- leave the phone line open if you cannot speak
- use a pre-arranged code word when contacting a friend, family member or neighbour
- plan escape routes in advance
- follow any safety plan that has been made with a support worker
